 What is Christian Energy Healing?

Woman with Bible

Christianity and Energy Healing is a topic that I get asked about very often.

As a Christian, it is very important to me that clients have complete clarity about the process. As a Practitioner, I am in no way acting as a spiritual advisor or medium. As your Practitioner, I facilitate the reduction of stress on your nervous system. Your body is doing the work, I am simply helping to identify the areas of support. The modalities that I use encourage us to be self-aware and take responsibility/ownership, but it's not a replacement for God's grace or healing. It is important to recognize modalities or muscle testing as a tool, not a replacement for faith.

While the topic of energy healing itself sounds fascinating and is very intriguing, I’d say about 95% of my potential clients that are inquiring about this modality will ask at some point how this interferes with their faith, beliefs, and Christianity. As a Christian, it’s important to me that clients have complete clarity about the process; we should be discerning when seeking counsel. As a Practitioner, I am in no way acting as a spiritual advisor or medium. I can not tell you your future, read your thoughts or provide you with winning lotto numbers. Even if you consciously agree to sign up for a session, when I make the connection for the session, if the subconscious and super-subconscious do not agree, then the session cannot be conducted until all three agree and allow it. I view being a Practitioner as similar to the function of a Chiropractor, they go in looking for tension and stress within the body and bring relief through physical or manual adjustments. I facilitate and mitigate the reduction of stress on your nervous system by use of muscle response testing to find imbalances in the physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological, and subconscious planes then release those stressors which trigger our body to restore its own healing function. Our body is doing all the work, I am simply helping to identify areas of support. The modalities that I use all have Christian founders and each encourages us to be self-aware and take responsibility/ownership, but none are a replacement for God’s grace or healing. It is also important to remember that everything is energy and frequency - so energy healing is moving the energy that no longer serves you which then increases your frequencies, when this happens homeostasis occurs which then triggers the body's own ability to heal.

So many different healing methods fall under the umbrella of “energy healing” that it can be confusing where the spiritual boundary lines fall. The word “healing” also comes with a bad wrap because it makes it sound as if the Practitioner is the “healer” or doing the “healing” when that is not the case at all. A simple definition of energy healing is any modality that works with the meridian energy system of the body to bring healing. When I say energy, I mean the literal electric currents and charges to our bodies, not some kind of weird New Age “energy”. These are the same meridian systems that are physically tapped into during an acupuncture session.

I think where a lot of modalities go wrong is that they place faith in anything besides or in addition to Christ. It is important to recognize all the modalities I use and the muscle testing I conduct are only tools, not a replacement for faith. Another area where modalities go astray is teaching that WE are at the center of everything, including our salvation. Meaning we can work hard enough to save ourselves (the work-based belief system). The Bible teaches that we are a part of Jesus’ story, not the center of it all.

The most important thing to remember with energy healing is that all healing is God’s healing. Satan can only twist, he cannot create. So, if we see real healing taking place from any method it is because God created that method to work. Just like medical science heals because God created it to heal, energy healing methods work because God created them to work.

James 1:17 says, "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.”

God is the source of every good gift we receive. All the good gifts are His. All. Not some. Not just the ones that we understand. And research continues to show that energy healing is a good gift, that actually brings healing. While I will always stay humble and filled to the brim with gratitude for the miracles I get to witness and the part I do play in this beautiful work, all the glory will always go to God.

I like to remind myself that God beautifully created each of us as well as everything we need to heal, survive and thrive. The tools to do this are inside of us, but in today’s world, this is so easily forgotten.

Matthew 18:19 “Again I say unto you, that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done from them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them”
